Joining the Academy came at a moment where I was ready to grow as an artist but needed more structure and direction to move forward. The experience gave me not only practical knowledge, but also clarity on how the industry works and how to position myself within it. What made it work was the combination of online learning and the onsite Academy in Belgium, where I gained more hands on DJ practice, took my first real steps into music production, and learned useful marketing and business strategies that I could immediately apply. Being in that environment and surrounded by people pushing in the same direction made everything feel more real and actionable.

Step by step, that translated into real progress. I started building momentum, expanding my network, and applying what I learned to my releases, sets, and positioning. This led to important milestones in my journey, including more international bookings, performing on the Tomorrowland Party Flight in 2024, and stepping onto the stage at Tomorrowland Winter in 2025.

My favourite course in the academy was the one by James Hype because it was extremely practical and focused on real DJ performance. What I found especially valuable was that he showed his DJ routines and tricks from behind the scenes, breaking them down step by step in a slower, easy to follow way. Seeing how he actually builds his mixes and performance moments made a big difference for me, because it turned complex techniques into something understandable and applicable. The course also covered everything from home setups to club systems, plus branding and social media, which helped me think more professionally about both my sets and my career direction.

“For me, the Academy was the place where things stopped feeling theoretical and started becoming real. It gave me structure, confidence, and the push to turn preparation into actual career milestones.” Maksymilian Meszka aka DJ Max Perth (33, Poland)
Looking back, the experience was not just about improving as a DJ, but about learning how to move forward as an artist in a focused and sustainable way. It helped me connect the dots between music, identity, and opportunity, and that shift has shaped the way I approach my career today.
